Hello There!

And thank you for downloading my book!  I really hoped that you enjoyed Rescued by the Wolf - Book One of The Wolves.  I hope that you read the rest of the books in the series and that you enjoy them just as much.

I'll tell you what I was thinking when I wrote the book, or what my inspiration was.  I wanted to know if I could write a women's fiction novel combined with a horror/paranormal one.  Do you think that I pulled it off?  I hope so.

I love writing Women's Fiction.  I love it, love it, love it.  I love taking a section of a woman's life, dissecting the emotional aspects of it and then laying those out for all to see.  But I also think that werewolves are pretty darned cool.  There is something tortured about their souls; I love creating a venue where empathy can be created for them.

Thanks again for downloading my book!

So Far, So Good!

I'm thrilled to report that Rescued by the Wolf, Book 1 of the Reviews has been downloaded like CRAZY!  I am so glad that I took the plunge with Amazon's KDP deal.  I only wish that Barnes and Noble had a similar program to promote the works of self-published writers.

The free promo ends at midnight on the 31st.  Please be sure to download a book if you have not yet done so.

Thank you!

Opening Salvo of Apology(ies)!

Hi Folks.

How are you doing today?  Good? I hope so.  How are the kids?  How are the pooches?  And the kitties - are they good, too?  I hope so.  I really hope that your weather is good, too, that you are happy with your weight, your boss, and your commute.

I'm okay.  Things are good at home.  I'm staying busy.  No pooch here, nor kitties either.  But the spouse and offspring are good.  The weather in Southern California is always good.  We are fortunate to have a great infrastructure, I don't have a boss, I'm happy with my weight, and the commute from my bed to my kitchen table is pretty good, too.

What a nice talk we are having!

In any case, I am here to apologize for removing Rescued by the Wolf from all retailers that are not Amazon.  I am really, REALLY sorry about that.

So, I have decided to make an advance act of contrition (did you catch the fact that I'm catholic there?).  That act of contrition is the fact that I am offering THREE paperback copies of Rescued by the Wolf: Book One of the Wolves available for FREE.  All you have to do is tell me which retailer you tried to purchase the book from through a message on this blog.

That's it.

Again, there will only be three copies made available; please try to send me a message as soon as you can.  I'll even mail you a copy for free {if you are in the United States or the U.K. (I sell most of my books in those to countries, so I kind of have some loyalty to them)}.

To prove that I am not lying, here is a picture of said books:

See?  I'm for real.  And I'm sorry!  (There goes the catholic guilt, again).

Still, send me a message if you want to be one of the three lucky readers to get a copy.

Thanks for reading!!!

I'm Going There...And I'm Sorry!!!!

Where?  To KDP Select for ninety days.

I wish that I didn't have to do this.  After all, I own a Nook myself and LOVE it.  However, Barnes and Noble is not offering the same sort of promotional opportunities that Amazon is.  While Smashwords is a boon to any writer, my free book trials there have not yielded many sales as far as my other titles are concerned.   It doesn't sit easy with me, though.

As a writer, I owe it to myself to do my very best to promote my works.

So what title will I be taking off of everything else but Amazon?  Rescued by the Wolf: Book One of the Wolves.  For ninety entire days.  Yikes!!  It makes me nervous.

But I do hope that you all understand.  It will be back...everywhere else (in ninety days).

Thanks for reading!

Hello There (For Those Of You Have Read One of My Paperback Books - And Everyone Else Too)!

Hi There!

Chances are you read either The Song of the Sleeping Grass or Rescued by the Wolf: Book One of the Wolves.

Thank you so much for reading my book(s).  I hope that you enjoyed your time with either Becky/Robbie or Lana and her crew.  I hope that you'll read my either books (The Song of the Sleeping Grass is a stand alone book), or will read what happens to Lana in the following books in the series.

I have to admit that I had forgotten how good it felt to hold an actual book in my hands.  To hold a book with my name on it?  That blew my mind.

Because of that, I am going to work at getting the rest of my e-books onto paper form.  It will take a while to get there, but I am determined.

Thanks again for giving me a shot!

The Wolves

Hi Folks!

I know it's been a while since I last updated this, so I thought that I would drop in to do so.

So...what have I been up to?  Writing, as always.  Right now, I am writing something in a very old school method - in a composition notebook - long hand!  Why?  Because it provides method of inspiration.  Sometimes a Microsoft Word doc looks...very plain and blank.  A composition notebook, however, has the black-and-white marbleized cover that evokes memories of the past.  Also, the way my ballpoint, blue ink Papermate pen sails over the paper gives me a sense of pleasure that tapping away on a keyboard does not.

What else is new, is a new way of promoting my books.  It was a stroke of genius, if I do say so myself.  That has been exciting.

But back to the topic of this post.  "The Wolves."  People have been asking for more.  Unfortunately, Lana and Jorgen's story is told.  However, there might be two full length novels in the future, told through the voices of other characters in the series.  Lana and Jorgen will stay be a part of the story, but will not be the main focus.

Well, this is all for now.  But thanks for stopping by, and thanks for reading!
